FAQ

  • How do I join the WooMeOver Community?
    • Create an account by registering. An email notification will be sent to you shortly. Check your email inbox and follow the link to activate your account. Then you can log in and start using the site.
  • I registered, but still haven't received an email notification.
    • If you don't see an activation email in your inbox, please check in your Junk Mail or Spam folder. Due to your security settings, it may have been filtered. Please add support@woomeover.com to your addressbook, and that should ensure that you receive future emails. Once you find it, you can unlock it from there so that it can be put back into your Inbox, and then you can follow the link to activate your account.
  • How do I upload photos?
    • While on the Upload page, you can add tag words that apply to the entire batch - - for example: [Jennifer Simpson semi-precious stones flower "metal art"] - - or any keywords or short phrases (short phrases must be enclosed in quotes) that will help others to find you and your pictures. You can upload up to 10 photos at a time.
    • When it finishes uploading, go to My Jewelry Box >> My Uploads to edit your photos.
  • How do I edit my uploads?
    • You can add descriptions, stories, prices, etc., from the My Uploads section of your My Jewelry Box.
      • If you are the original designer of the jewelry piece, be sure you check the box marked "I designed this".
      • You can write a more detailed description, write stories for your jewelry pieces, add more tags, and include the price and other information for each piece.
      • As the designer, you can further select photos from My Uploads to My Portfolio, which can be accessed from My Profile.
  • What is a tag or a tag word?
    • A tag is a search key word assigned to a piece of information such as digital image. The keyword helps describe an item in the manner that allows it to be searched by others looking for information that may contain the keyword.

On a website in which many users tag many items, this collection of tags becomes a folksonomy.

Tagging was popularized by websites associated with Web 2.0 and is an important feature of many Web 2.0 services.

  • What is My Portfolio?
    • My Portfolio is where you can showcase your designs. You can re-arrange the position of your portfolio photos from My Profile. Whatever you put in My Portfolio will show up on your Profile when other people view it.
  • Where can I edit my account information?
    • You can edit information such as your password, gender, birth date, contact email, website URL, and About Me section on the My Account page. Your personal information can be marked "private" (viewable only by you), or "public" (viewable by everyone). However, for designers, we recommend that you make your contact email and/or your website public, as it allows consumers to contact you for purchasing information.
  • How can I connect with designers and fans?
    • You can follow your favorite designer by clicking on that person's profile and collect into your Favorite Designers. And if some fans are following your designs by collecting either your designs or your profile into their Favorites, you will see that, too.
  • What about comments and flagging?
    • Comments are a great way to connect with others and start conversations here at WooMeOver. You can comment on any item. And you can also respond to any comment. If you like that comment, you can "Woo" it; if you deem that comment inappropriate, you can "Ugh" it.

If you don't think a picture is appropriate, you can "flag" it. But please use your discretion.

We rely on our community members to apply their good judgment to determine what is inappropriate.

  • Where can I find trunk shows in my area, and where can I tell others about upcoming trunk shows?
    • You can submit any jewelry trunk shows that you know of, or enter your own upcoming trunk shows on the Trunk Show page. You can also search for trunk shows based on the zip code.
  • What if I have a problem that wasn't listed in this FAQ?
    • We would love to hear from you how we can make your user experience more enjoyable and your business more successful. That's the best way for us to improve. Please Contact Us to report any problems or provide your feedback. We will do our best to answer each and every one of you.
